Features:
Poole House is a 6 storey, 39-unit social housing development located in central Dublin. These A-rated homes were delivered for Dublin City Council as part of this €13m development. We fulfilled the lead Home Performance Index (HPI) Assessor Role for this development, and it has now received HPI certification. This certification demonstrates the development’s resolute commitment to both quality and sustainability.
JVT provided the Mechanical, Electrical & Sustainable Design of the development including the following:
- Landlord services including a 13-person lift, a mechanical smoke and heat extract ventilation system (SHEV), a 12,000-litre water storage tank, roof mounted solar PV, a lightning protection system, an L3X fire detection and alarm system and energy efficient LED lighting.
- Energy efficient exhaust air heat pump providing hot water, space heating and centralised continuous mechanical extract ventilation (CMEV). Panel radiators were installed throughout. Eir and Virgin ICT infrastructure were installed in addition to a roof mounted centralised TV antenna and satellite dish. An intercom system and fob reader access control at building entrances was provided. An LD2 fire detection and alarm system has been installed in each apartment.
- A1, 24No. A2 and 12No. A3 BERs achieved.
- Nibe F730 exhuast-air heat pump extracting air from ‘wet’ rooms and drawing fresh air in through passive wall vents in habitable rooms. Maintains comfortable temperature in apartments year-round with always available hot water.
