Features:
A new building connected to the existing Courthouse completes the redevelopment of the Dundrum Garda Station which included the refurbishment of the Historic Courthouse building. The new and old structures provide a welcome upgrade for the building users and provide a high quality public building in Dundrum Village. The new built elements blend harmoniously with the Deane & Woodward Courthouse and incorporate a granite facade which reflects the material of the original building. A Willow Tree was carefully retained on site to provide both visual amenity and solar shading to the building.The new building features a large glazed screen with an integrated cedar brise-soleil which allows extensive views of the Willow Tree from within the building.
- Solar heating system to support the hot water requirements for the station.
- Full LPHW heating system with gas fired boilers located in the roof top plantroom
- Extensive CCTV and access control system throughout the building to AGS and OPW standards
- A full lighting and emergency lighting system is installed specific lighting fittings selected based on the historic nature of the protected structure.
