Lidl Ireland Regional Distribution Centre, Newbridge

J.V. Tierney & Co. are proud to have carried out the M&E Services Design for the new Lidl Regional Distribution Centre in Newbridge.

The Centre, which was officially opened early last week, involved a number of very interesting aspects to it, not least having the largest PV Array installation in Ireland, which our team specified. These PV Arrays will reduce the centre's carbon output by 473 tonnes annually and will generate over 25% of the new facility's energy.

The Centre is also 33% refrigerated with high efficiency Co2/Ammonia refrigeration plant which has an ozone depletion potential of 0 and a globel warming potential of 1.
We hope to work on many more project with such effective sustainable technologies integrated into the design in the future.
