Building Information Modelling (BIM) accreditation to IS EN ISO 19650-2:2018 from the NSAI

We are delighted to announce that after putting in place company wide information management processes to align with IS EN ISO 19650-2:2018, JVT have now received our Building Information Modelling (BIM) accreditation to IS EN ISO 19650-2:2018 from the NSAI.

The processes we have put in place mean that JVT can deliver greater efficiencies on the design and construction of projects by managing project information through the use of this internationally recognised best practice BIM standard.

Building Information Modelling provides a digital representation of a built asset based on collaboratively assembled information, acting as a shared source of knowledge that can be accessed during its whole life cycle from early conception to demolition.

Benefits of BIM include improved safety, increased productivity, controlled whole-life costs, reduced on-site waste, error prevention, clash detection, avoidance of rework cost, and an overall faster and more efficient process.

JV Tierney & Co are the first M&E firm in Ireland to be awarded this NSAI accreditation, which solidifies our 10 years’ of experience in delivering BIM projects to the highest of standards.

A special mention to JV Tierney’s BIM Team led by Michael Downey & Mark Evans for their efforts in getting this accreditation over the line.
