One Microsoft Court, New Jobs

We are proud to have carried out the Mechanical, Electrical and Sustainable services design for the Shell and Core and Fit-Out of One Microsoft Court’s new, 10,000msq, and award nominated (Fit-Out Awards, Category Fit-Out Project of the Year – Large Office) Engineering Hub at One Microsoft Leopardstown.

The project, with facilities for 800 Staff, of which 200 are new staff, boasts an eye catching design full to the brim of innovative technologies and layout elements including Europe’s first: “The Garage”. This section of the Building will allow for the collaboration of the Microsoft team, their stakeholders and the wider community upon invitation.




“We wanted to redesign a building that was specifically for engineering at its core,” said Ms Hallahan. “The idea was that we would create that inspiring, accessible environment for engineers so they could innovate, collaborate and learn from one another. That’s what the space is delivering for us.” 

Other features of the €27m Fit-Out include:

• Combined heating and cooling heat pump technology to air condition all open plan spaces, cellular meeting rooms and multi-storey high communal spaces.
• New Bespoke areas with state-of-the-art features – protruding areas into the main atrium space.
• ‘Tech Link’ technical services area
• The Garage
•  Balcony café
• ‘Lookout’ floating feature meeting room required 3D modelling
• Flexible working environment whereby users of the space can move workstations, access networks throughout communal spaces and reserve eight different types of meeting rooms online.
• A highly secured building with Access Control, CCTV, and Asset tagging
• Smart Technologies included are:
• Individual control of every light fitting
• Daylight presence and absence control of all lights
• Heat Mapping of occupancy levels
• Room Booking system
• Full BMS Control
• AV Systems for Large Conference Rooms and Townhall Space
• Comfy App for Smart phone control

We worked on this project in tandem with Coady Architects, and The MAC Group and are extremely excited to see the pioneering ideas and solutions which will be born within it’s walls.
